Location Of Organic
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in Airlie Beach
Our Organic Bed and Breakfast overlooks Airlie Beach – the
gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great
Barrier Reef. It is only 250m to the village with its choice of
cafes, restaurants and shops and the Airlie Beach Lagoon,
yet our house is quietly positioned in a natural setting of organic
fruit and nut trees and tropical plants.
The Whitsunday region is home to the Aboriginal inhabitants – the
Ngaro and Gia people. The Ngaro homelands encompass the Whitsunday
Island chain and take in the part of the mainland including Airlie
Beach. The Ngaro and Gia people were saltwater people
and expert seafarers and feasted on shellfish, turtle, dugong,
fish and native
bushfoods which were all found in great abundance in the reefs,
waters, mangroves, and rainforests of The Whitsundays.
We exhibit and sell original art by the local Aboriginal people
in our Bed & Breakfast.
